How daily bidding works
One movie holds the spotlight each calendar day. That slot is sold by open bid, one auction per date, settled fresh every night.
01Bidding is per calendar dateToday, tomorrow and the next 13 days are all open at the same time. A bid applies to exactly one date.
02Highest total wins the dayThe largest total on a date holds the spotlight. Ties go to whoever got there first.
03Raises cost only the differenceAlready holding $60 on a date? Moving to $95 charges $35, not the full amount.
04Minimum bid $299To take the lead you must clear the current leader by at least the minimum increment.
05One entry per movie, per date, per Instagram handleYou identify yourself with your Instagram handle — it's shown publicly and links to your profile, so don't enter one that isn't yours. The same handle bidding on the same movie for the same date always raises one running total. A different handle bidding on the same movie competes as its own entry.
06Nothing carries overThere is no season ranking and no rollover. Every date is settled on its own and the board reopens at reset.
07Outbid means no spotlightBids are payments for a chance at the slot, not a reservation. If you are outbid at reset, the day goes to the leader.
Payments
Handled by Dodo Payments — cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. A bid counts only once the payment succeeds and is confirmed by webhook. Failed or abandoned payments never touch the board.
